Dr. Qassem Abdelal, widely known to his colleagues and patients as Dr. Q, is a board-certified pulmonologist and the founder of Manhattan Medical Solutions, LLC (MMS). With a career defined by clinical excellence, innovation, and a passion for access to care, Dr. Q established MMS to deliver advanced pulmonary procedures to hospitals and communities in need—no matter their size or location.

Dr. Q was born in Manhattan, Kansas. He received his undergraduate degree in biology from the American University in Beirut. He received his medical degree from Ross University and completed his internal medicine residency and chief residency at Florida State University. He went on to complete fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of Florida. Over the years, Dr. Q has worked in both academic and high-volume community settings, gaining a reputation for precision, compassion, and procedural expertise.

He is proficient in a wide array of advanced bronchoscopic and pleural procedures, including robotic bronchoscopy, EBUS, airway stenting, and minimally invasive pleural interventions. Beyond his technical skills, Dr. Q is committed to improving systems of care—consulting with hospital teams to optimize workflows, reduce delays, and implement evidence-based protocols.

When he's not traveling to support hospitals across the country, Dr. Q enjoys international travel, surfing, tennis, live music, clay shooting and spending time with his labrador retriever, Murphy Q.
